Summary:

The chapter begins with Edward Elric waking up from a dream in which he is reunited with his mother. He realizes that he is still in the homunculi's underground lair and is being held captive. He tries to escape, but is caught by Envy, who taunts him for failing to save his mother.Meanwhile, Alphonse Elric is still searching for his brother and ends up in the same underground lair. He is attacked by Gluttons, but is saved by the arrival of Izumi Curtis, who has also been searching for the Elric brothers. Izumi reveals that she knows about the homunculi and their plans, and tells Alphonso that he must find a way to stop them.Back with Edward, he is visited by a homunculus known as Wrath, who reveals that he was created from the soul of Izumi's child who died in childbirth. Wrath offers to let Edward go if he agrees to become the new container for his soul. Edward refuses, but Wrath tells him that he will never escape the homunculi's grasp.The chapter ends with Alphonse and Izumi discovering a hidden laboratory where homunculi are conducting experiments. They realize that the homunculi are trying to create the Philosopher's Stone and decide to stop them at all costs.
